I saw a shadow

I was wondering if any one would help me figure this out. About a night ago I was laying in my bed and I saw this shadow thinking it was one of my ream catchers I ignored it. Then it came to my attention that it started moving... towards me. So I sat there inspecting as it moved and it looked like a full on dragon shadow so I stood still. The fact that it wasn't scared to death was confusing.The shadow stopped above me and was now on my lap then it disappeared into thin air.
I don't know if this was a sign or a spirit or a message but ever since that day I felt connected to he shadow. (I thought I was crazy). I looked for it every night but is was no where to be found. I still look for it, I was actually looking for it before I posted this.
Can anyone tell me what this encounter was.

Legit right after I posted that I saw at white shadow of the dragon. Last time it was black now white BRUH!

It possibly sounds like a recurring hypnagogic hallucination.
