My wand cracked

It was after 12 am. I saw that the window above my bed was open. I hadn't opened it and neither had anyone from my family. No one had come in my room except my family members. I climbed on my bed to close it. I was totally dark outside but I tried to peek in order to see the cause behind this open window but as I was peeking, I put my knee on my pillow to balance myself and heard a loud crack. I had kept my wand under my pillow the night before. I don't know how I could forget that it was there. But now the damage is done. It has a little crack. It's not broken, there's just a crack in the middle. I just wanted to ask if I can still use it. I'm really attached to it as it's been with me for 3 years now. I've always felt safer with my wand in my hand and now it's cracked. I'm devastated. Please tell me if I can use it again.

Its really a matter of personal opinion. If it doesn't seem to damaged then keep using it, but if it feels wrong inside to use it I would not. Depending on what the wand is made of and if the crack is big you may be able to fill the crack with clay or resin.

It's wooden and the crack isn't too big. I haven't used it since the accident but I'm planning to use it today. I don't have access to clay or resin right now unfortunately.

As long as you feel that it is OK to use the wand despite the crack then it should work just fine. If you doubt the wand will work properly then it would be better to wait until you repair it, or make yourself a new one. Remember, the wand is just a tool. What makes the magic work or not work is inside yourself.

Cracks are simply a feature and really have no bearing on power or use. Some would call your cracked wand 'wisened'.
