So i started mapping out my characters and storyline for a novel/book i am working on. I have been wondering if there are any kine of success spells and/or work spells that will help me on my way of writing the story? Like not just motivation, but help me get it published?
I am absolutely positive that there are numerous different spells you can attempt in order to aid you with the areas you are most concerned with! Still, I wish to point out to you that perhaps the most effective ones are those you create and put into action yourself!
If you are not a spell crafter, there are also other things you could try that may turn out to be just as effective! For example, a simple note to yourself to "stay focused" (or something similar) taped to your door or bathroom mirror, etc., may be enough to keep you focused on the project at hand. Not to mention, it is far easier to create and execute or put into place than a spell can be lol!
As you progress through the creative process of writing your book, you can do things like spending a few minutes before you begin to write thinking and visualizing your completed book, or even happy customers spending their money to purchase it.
Another thing you could do is create a symbol or sigil (if you are familiar with the process) that can be charged with your energy to act as an inducement for potential customers to see your book amongst the other numerous books on the shelf. Place it discretely on the jacket of your book where it can be easily seen so it can act as an agent to help your book sell.
If you think about it, I'm sure you can think of many other easy ideas such as the ones I have mentioned to you. Good luck to you!
There are many resources on how to contact publication agencies that you can entertain with your book concept. I have been writing since I was 16 (I am 39 now) I have written over 23 novels and have sent them to numerous agencies, all of which recommended hiring an editor first before they will consider publication. This can be very pricey (one of my books cost $4,000 to have edited due to its volume size and most charge by word count). There are specific standards most companies look forin regards to formatting (such as running head, page numbers, quotation placement and lower case after a direct quote etc..) But all of that can be cleared up by an editor. There are two thing to consider, an editor for character development and a general editor. Both are expensive.
You also have to consider if you have any connections in the industry. Unfortunately, many agencies I have worked with won't consider looking at your work unless you have a reference from someone already published. (this has been my experience in several agencies out of New York and California)
In regards to a spell, I believe you could alter a job seeking spell to format to your specific need of wanting to attract you as an author to a publication agency. It is important to remember, the actual publication agency won't hire you or take on your book, you must have an agent to represent you and they make the arrangements for publication, also they generally provide editing services to your books and cover design-it is the initial contact in which you want to invest in your book to make it appealing to that agent to want to take you on as a client. So, I would recommend using a job seeking spell and tailor it to your specific search requirements-publication.
On a side note, after many years of investing money in my books, I have started self publication, which isn't as much money as one would think. Now that e-books are very popular, there is a means of publishing your own material in a very user-friendly format service. There are many companies that offer this service and some discounted services to help like editing. I use Kindle Direct Publishing and all of my books are available on Amazon in multiple countries. Users can select to publish both paperback and e-book. You can also use forums on writing sites for writer feed-back on polishing your work. I invest in hiring a graphic designer for each of my books. I have only just started this (re-doing all of my covers) and it is a small investment (usually around $75-$110)
Since you haven't published before but are interested in completing your book and getting it printed I would suggest using a spell that would increase your chances of being looked at for publication (like a job spell). It is always important to remember that a job won't just fall into your lap. You need to do the leg work and really be actively seeking out an agent. I have purchased several books on how to get published over the years. Many come with addresses of several different companies you can send your books into. Some agencies specialize in specific genres so be sure to make it clear your books general category. For example all of my books are fantasy YA (Young Adult) and have a HEA (Happily Ever After), so I seek out agencies that publish that type of book.
Hopefully this gives you a little background and hope.
