When to cast

So I may need to cast a couple of spells to aid me. A question I have is can spells be cast at anytime? This may have been asked somewhere else.

You can at anytime. But look into moon phases to get better results.

Certain moon phases & seasons can lend to a stronger energy depending on what the spell is for, but any spell can be cast at any time.

From my personal experience, I fair better at night when casting rituals or spells. This is due to my nature, not something that is required. The phases of the moon in certain paths can help aid certain spells - if you are a believer in that.

Again from my own personal experience, spells do not need a time of day to cast. That said, if you feel that a spell works at a certain time compared to another time, please go with that. A spell can not work if you do not believe in it.

Due to some of the rather strange posts I've seen on here, please also keep in mind to cast within the realm of possibility. You can not cast a spell to manipulate someone to love you. However, you can cast a spell to give yourself a sense of encouragement.

Spell casting comes down to your personal belief or path. It depends on what you follow and believe in. Some people follow the moon cycle or tides but that does not mean your spell will not work or be as powerful if you don't follow that belief. It always comes down to your intentions and willpower. If you prefer to follow the moon cycles to aid you, generally things that want to flourish or grow (pregnancy, money, job opportunities, relationships etc.) you would cast when the moon is waxing (new moon to full moon or when the moon is growing) for things like banishing, diminishing, getting rid of, you would do the opposite or when the moon is weaning or diminishing in size (full moon to new moon)

But you don't need to go by the moon cycles. You can use seasons which I generally save for larger spells or spells that take a while to come to fruition. Job promotions or even pregnancy, developing friends ships or relationships (romantic) all need time to develop so picking seasonal marks like Yule, winter solstice, summer solstice, thin veil (Samhain) Imbolc and such.

I would take some time to develop a sense of what path and purpose you follow. If you are more drawn to nature or pagan beliefs than consider honoring the seasons, directional gods and goddesses (north, south etc..) elemental gods or goddesses (water, fire) or even the moon cycles when planning out your spells to help your intentions and will to have more confidence.
