Churchyard Dirt

Does anyone know of any folkloric uses for dirt from a churchyard? I've found a couple uses for it, but I've had difficulties finding corroborating evidence for these usages.

Often it is used to workings designed to end or "put to rest" situations, habits, gossip, negative people. As a graveyard is to signify a physical end, so the dirt represents the same within a working.

The use of Churchyard/Graveyard dirt is often found in folk magicks, with each family and varying tradition using it slightly differently depending on what they find it best for. It is likely best to do the same, use it for the workings it resonates with.
