Hello all. I need some advice. My girlfriend is a hardcore Christian and believes that she spoke to a ghost, and it is now “touching her” (don’t ask me where, I have no idea) and making her mental state deteriorate. The issue is that due to COVID, I am now seven hours away from her. She will not participate in any rituals at all (obviously, she’s a Christian) and I want to know: 1) what this could be that isn’t a demon/ghost, and; 2) if there’s any sort of hardcore banishing ritual that would work from a distance. Since she's a Christian, has she attempted to command it to leave in the name of Christ? Supposedly demons would have to obey that. Don't know about ghosts though.
If your friend is having this problem, in a physical sense it would be much better for her to participate in trying to rid herself of this.
Utilizing her own personal power. I understand she is Christian. Have you personally asked her via phone or text, whether she is willing to try a smudging ceremony?
Have you considered her asking her pastor about this?
There are options. Say your banishing ritual doesn't work, then what? What next?

I wish your friend much luck with this. My personal advice is yes find a banishing ritual that resonates with you that you could try from a distance, essentially what you would be doing here is a lot of visualization work. You'll want to envision this leaving her space. That is the main ritual technique of importance, that and belief.
Also she may wish to speak with her pastor about this, and ask their advice/ help on the matter. Perhaps as a Christian they'll have Christian methods which may help her more. The lord's prayer is a great prayer to use during situations like this.
The Lord's prayer is indeed a powerful rite, and has a lot of power when used as a point of empowerment and protection.
However there are other rites that can be done with the help of a pastor/ordained priest. A blessing of the home or a lesser rite of exorcism comes to mind. The former is much more common as the latter needs to have specific criteria met before it will be performed.
In general, things like house blessings and exorcisms do need to have someone physically present to perform it though. Clearing a house requires a methodical, room by room, door by door, every nook and cranny approach. And it is helped greatly with the use of cleansing tools like smudge, incense, holy/blessed water, etc. Also because it is as much working with the residents as it is working with the house.
It would help to have some more details as well though. How did this person 'talk' to this ghost, what was communicated? Did she feel a sense of fear or malice from the entity, or is she just feeling off balance and afraid because she just had an experience that put her into unfamiliar territory? Is this entity dark, or is she just afraid that it -might- be?
The first step that I would recommend to her, is to take charge of herself and her space. Drop the fear and remember she makes the rules of what is and isn't allowed. Lay down the law that only beings of light and with intent to uplift and heal are allowed, all else being unwelcome and banned.
Then actively promote a positive environment within herself and her home. Hang happy pictures, funny jokes, etc. Bring in a pretty plant or two to care for. Let in natural light. And willfully visualize herself as being always filled with radiant light.
If things escalate, involve local clergy. Blessings and more are best performed by the people with experience and training. Some things are not for entry-level (or even middling level) people to attempt.
