My mail button keeps being highlighted, but I have no mail when I check it.
Is there a reason for this? Was it some kind of spam or someone I blocked that got caught and deleted or is it a site bug?
Sadly this seems to be an intermittent bug. We haven't been able to figure out yet why it does this or even whether there is/was actually a message there. Only good thing is that it seems to self-correct in a day or so.
i don't know if this is the case for you but it highlights for me if I hit the back button on my browser to the point where the mail was still unread (if that makes sense). Could that have happened?
This happens to me too and I don't believe a message is actually being sent. Usually the live chat will have a notification stating there was a message from a user. The issue seems to fix itself if I refresh my screen. I am assuming it might just be a display issue. Is it possible that one person sends a message but other people are falsely being highlighted?
I had asked Pet about this previously and was told it was the site's way of trying to filter out spam mail, so the site registers that the mail was sent but it deletes it. The 'glitch' is just the mail tab flashing to show that a mail was received, but the filtering system flagged it and removed it.
