Those who need it (ie. people with pulmonary disorders, low immune systems, other illnesses, etc) should get the vaccine (I did). If you don't need it, your immune system will kick in and defeat the virus like any other flu.
The ingredients are commonly used items in food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Many of the items are misspelled or repeated (I think for extra "scare tactics" by the anti-vaccine folks). So here is some info on the "ingredients list" provided above:
Aluminum Hydroxide-->used in antacids, anti-diarrheals, and helps people with kidney failure
Aluminum Phosphate-->used in cake mixes and baking powders as a leavening agent
Ammonium Sulfate-->food additive used for purifying proteins
Amphotericin B-->intravenal anti-fungal drug
Animal tissues: pig blood, horse blood, rabbit brain, dog kidney, monkey kidney, chick Embryo, Chicken Egg, Duck Egg-->I know chicken eggs (emulsifiers) are often found in vaccines. Pig, and horse would be used to make gelatin (see below), but I can't find anything about rabbits, dogs or monkeys.
Calf (bovine) Serum-->I presume this is a misreading of "Fetal Bovine Serum". Used in Gelatin (see below).
Betapropiolactone-->used to sterilize blood plasma
Fetal bovine serum-->same as "Calf (bovine) serum"
Formaldehyde-->used as a preservative in all vaccines
Formalin-->this is another name for formaldehyde
Gelatin-->a gelling agent in pharmaceuticals, made from the animal by-products above (cattle, pigs, horses)
Glycerol-->aka Glycerin, used in everything from shampoo and soap, to toothpaste, mouthwash, and cough syrup.
Human diploid cells (originating from human aborted fetal tissue)-->the aborted fetus part is incorrect, as diploid cells are grown in laboratories and have been for 35 years. They are NOT from aborted babies (that's a good way for anti-vaccination advocates to get people to NOT want a vaccine). The cells are able to grow other cells, but are unable to grow into a person. Diploid cells are used in the Rubella vaccine, rabies vaccine, and Hepatitis A vaccine as well.
Hydrolized Gelatin-->Misspelling and wrongful use of the term, since this is actually "Hydrolyzed Collagen". Digestible protein used in skin care, bone and joint health, and weight management diets (orally).
Mercury Thimerosol-->antifungal agent, and used to preserve vaccines. 5 micrograms of this is in it, as opposed to the 25 micrograms of it that is present in a tuna sandwich.
Monosodium Glutamate (MSG)-->preservative, used in food
Neomycin-->antibiotic and DNA binder to successfully let the vaccine work in your body.
Neomycin sulfate-->Another name for the same thing above (redundant)
Phenol red indicator-->used in cell biology laboratories
Phenoxyethanol (Anti-Freeze)-->used as a fixative in perfumes, a topical antiseptic, skin creams, and sunscreens
Potassium Diphosphate-->wrongly used term, referring to salts
Potassium Monophosphate-->wrongly used term, referring to salts
Polymyxin B-->antibiotic
Polysorbate 20-->used in food, acts as an emulsifier
Polysorbate 80-->different name for same thing above
Porcine (pig) pancreatic hydrolysate of casein-->used for the amino acids
Residual MRC5 proteins-->I think this is a mis-quoting of an item
Sorbitol-->sugar alcohol the body metabolizes slowly. Used as a sweetener in foods, in laxatives, as a humectant and thickener in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics
Tri(n)butylphosphate-->I can't see this being used, as it is an explosive compound. No one's arms have exploded yet, have they?
VERO cells, a continuous line of monkey kidney cells-->I presume the same as the monkey claim up top
Washed sheep red blood-->found something that might explain the rabbit bits, too: http://www.jimmunol.org/cgi/content/abstract/29/6/485
I still suggest natural remedies, a majority of drugs aren't good for you, vaccine should be the Last thing to get.
A short list of herbs that help.
Boneset
Basil
Astragalus(For immune system)
Bergamot
Catmint(Catnip, remember to make it in tea, but in the way that Doesn't get you high!)
May add more to this list.
It wouldn't hurt to take some garlic too.
Catnip doesn't react in humans as it does with cats. It CANNOT make a person "high". It actually helps people to sleep if taken as a tea, and has no counter measures against viruses (flu or colds).
Wow! That is awesome and interesting, Tanya! I love Native Americans *daydreams about being one* Oh sorry, back to the subject. That might be very helpful. If I know someone who has a high fever or flu I would recommend them this cure too.
