"Let the Holy Cross be my light /
Let not the dragon be my guide
Step back Satan /
Never tempt me with vain things
What you offer me is evil /
You drink the poison yourself."
Yet another attempt to make people look down on Christianity.
Written by few haters.
Good job Andras. it's just that people are more intelligent then you think and won't buy your **** that has been a subject of a 1000 threads through the years on this site.
Yet its ok for people to look down on Satanism, and hate on it because thats what they've been told to believe without doing any research?
But no, of course, Christianity is such a "loving" religion.
Deuteronomy 12:27:
And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
Cannibalisim right there..and people fail to see that because they just pick and choose what they want to see from the bible, trying to justify it.
Try reading it for what it really is for once.
"Matthew 10: 37
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. This is also the sin of ENVY- he is so jealous of anyone who might share their love for another. "
Oh dear, jealousy? Isn't envy one of the seven deadly sins?
Seems as though your Christ is a bit of a hypocrite to me. :)
Andras, you picked from the Old Testament. That was/is the book of the Jews, not Christianity. When Christ came he replaced sacrifice with his own life, but even if he hadn't they did not sacrifice humans. They sacrificed animals, usually lamb. As for the other, the King James version is the best translated version of the bible and mine says nothing about envy, but jealousy is a natural emotion and therefore not a sin.
Now, this thread was not meant to be a debate on religion. What I'm seeing is one person who hates a religion due to hypocrites and extremists, to you I say stop looking at the bad and start looking at the good- open your mind to the fact that not all people of a belief system are the same. That said, this thread was made by somebody looking for help and, like it or not, when it comes to exorcisms Christianity seems to have the best techniques. That's a claim made by somebody who has done research on it.
About Joy of Satan, I have met a couple Satanists who didn't like that site and for good reason. They did some background research and found that it is pretty inaccurate on a number of things. Just to name one, last I checked they were wrong about the Egyptian Ankh. So far the people who have liked that site that I have met have also confessed to only liking it for the list of demons, nothing else.
Cannibalism?! ROFL
Do you know what was sacraficed? I don't think so. Cattle was sacraficed, not people. It was a sign of love towards God.
And Rag I disagree on one thing, Christian bible consists of both Old and New Testament. Both important to Christians. Though the Old Testament is indeed about Jewish beliefs it is very important to Christianity.
Yes people dislike Joy of Satan. I knew some satanists, even leaders of covens (off and online), that thought Joy of Satan was a joke. And guess what I didn't hate those people or laugh at thier religion. You know why? Because they respected mine.
We don't disagree, Wudang. The Old Testament is indeed important in Christianity, but I do not believe it is wise to judge a religion based on what can be called "old" beliefs(thus why it's called the "Old" Testament). Both the Old and the New Testaments are important parts of Christianity, together they make what is called the Holy Bible.
