That's ridiculous. Responsibility for the responsible, and I think maydayy has just shown his lack of responsibility. Do not allow him to stop his treatment without an okay from his doctor. Magick can heal.

I have heard of an herbal remedy called "essiac" that has been known to cure some forms of cancer. Maybe you could give it a look if you're interested.
I couldn't agree more with Nevermore27, totally wrong to suggest that someone stop their treatment from professionals.
Its commendable to suggest something to help, but without knowing his full medical situation it is wrong to suggest stopping something that could potentially save his life.

again i ask the question (cazzer) do you have any idea what chemotherapy is and what it does to your body.
its not my lack of responsibility its ur lack of knowledge.
and dont send him energy if u have no clue as to how to heal over distance, u could make things much worse (again lack of knowledge from some people here)

I'm hoping that "don't send energy" thing was not directed at me. If it was...laughable at best.
Chemotherapy kills cells. All cells. It has different effects on different people. Some types of treatment will work for one person and not for another. Hence the many versions of it.
The body constantly is remaking, rebuilding , ect cells. So losing some is not as deadly as one would think. When Chemo stops, the cells rejuvenate.
It usually has a bad effect on people in general with the horrible symptoms that follow. However, scientific discoveries have shown that tests are now available to tell you exactly which drugs do and do not work on a particular person and even go so far as to tell you what you will more than likely experience as far as symptoms go.
Since no one here has a PhD in medicine, the best thing to do is to continue to speak to doctors, even call (if applicable) the Cancer Treatment Center of America. There are alternatives to taking Chemo treatments, however most are in the "experimental stage" and thus 99.9% of health insurance companies will not cover them.
Those who are capable and willing to send postitive healing energy to your father I'm sure will do so. I highly suggest that he seek other opinions, seek holistic opinions and call where he can. An answer is always there if you search deep enough.
Please never substitute medical advice for what you find from strangers on the internet. Choosing to end Chemotherapy is a deeply personal choice that should be made within the family and after discussing it with medical professionals. Not decided from clicking one link.
Mayday - healing magic is best worked alongside medication, use the magic to create the best conditions for the chemo to work. Its wrong to say chemo is dangerous, and its a lack of knowledge to believe it can be cured by magic alone.

I have to agree with Nevermore27. I am in the medical field and I sure as heck would not take advice from someone who could not spell his or her words out properly, nor used such poor grammar.
To understand how chemotherapy works, it is helpful to understand the normal life cycle of a cell, or the cell cycle. All living tissue is made up of cells. Cells grow and reproduce to replace cells lost through injury or normal "wear and tear." The cell cycle is a series of steps that both normal cells and cancer cells go through in order to form new cells.
The cell cycle has 5 phases which are labeled below using letters and numbers. Since cell reproduction happens over and over, the cell cycle is shown below as a circle. All the steps lead back to the resting phase (G0), which is the starting point.
After a cell reproduces, the 2 new cells are identical. Each of the 2 cells made from the first cell can go through this cell cycle again when new cells are needed.
The Cell Cycle
G0 phase (resting stage): The cell has not yet started to divide. Cells spend much of their lives in this phase. Depending on the type of cell, G0 can last from a few hours to a few years. When the cell gets a signal to reproduce, it moves into the G1 phase.
G1 phase: During this phase, the cell starts making more proteins and growing larger, so the new cells will be of normal size. This phase lasts about 18 to 30 hours.
S phase: In the S phase, the chromosomes containing the genetic code (DNA) are copied so that both of the new cells formed will have matching strands of DNA. S phase lasts about 18 to 20 hours.
G2 phase: In the G2 phase, the cell checks the DNA and gets ready to start splitting into 2 cells. This phase lasts from 2 to 10 hours.
M phase (mitosis): In this phase, which lasts only 30 to 60 minutes, the cell actually splits into 2 new cells.
This cell cycle is important because many chemotherapy drugs work only on cells that are actively reproducing (not on cells in the resting phase, G0). Some drugs specifically attack cells in a particular phase of the cell cycle (the M or S phases, for example). Understanding how these drugs work helps oncologists predict which drugs are likely to work well together. Doctors can also plan how often doses of each drug should be given based on the timing of the cell phases.
When chemotherapy drugs attack reproducing cells, they cannot tell the difference between reproducing cells of normal tissues (those that are replacing worn-out normal cells) and cancer cells. The damage to normal cells can cause side effects. Each time chemotherapy is given, it involves trying to find a balance between destroying the cancer cells (in order to cure or control the disease) and sparing the normal cells (to lessen unwanted side effects).

Chemotherapy kills cells. All cells.
Point proven. Dont kill yourself.
My neighbor with cancer did chemo and died. My close friend refused kemo and lived to tell the tale.
You get an entirely new body in 4 months, accept for the gray brain cells which take up to 11 months.
Healing magic is much much much much more than sending energy, thats why i said dont send if u dont know a clue about healing.

Mayday I suggest you do a bit more research before coming in here giving such blatant medical advice. I have a feeling this is particularly way out of your jurisdiction and you have little to know actual experience in the field.
Now then, Sher31, I hope your father does recover without losing too much of himself as I know cancer can be very harsh on the body.
As for healing magic or his decisions on his treatment, make them carefully, don't jump into things, get advice from those you know are highly qualified. Don't get antsy, stress may not be the cause of cancer, but it doesn't help.
What your father needs right now is someone to be calm for him, let him know you care, but let him know you're his rock. Keep him thinking positive. If it starts getting real bad and he becomes very ill, let him enjoy what he can.
I'm no expert in cancer or healing magic, but I can offer a tad bit of advice from experience,
-Snow

cancer kills cells in ONE phase. Cell have more that one phase. Don't be so ignorant.
