SpellingBee, if you'll notice, the spell that you posted is in the "Trick" section of the site spellbook. All of the spells in the "Trick" section and the "Fantasy" section are simply make-believe and none of them will work.

To some degree. Modern scientific theories about black holes show that the warping of time is possible. But to apply that to a spell... the spell would require quite possibly an immense ritual to gather the sheer amount of gravity needed. So yes it is possible but not worth the effort.

I think Nidel's trying to offer up a viable alternative for the fella, since direct manipulation of time is impossible. He's just trying to be helpful.

Also, a spell or ritual to manipulate a force such as gravity is as plausible as one to manipulate time. It would require you either altering mass, or generating energy. And...a LOT of energy.
