I truly do hope that can be done in the future. But you are right, till then I will just have to deal with it and not let it stunt my own learning and growth.
I wasn't on this site until quite recently.
As it is, though, I have noticed an almost ridiculous amount of people claiming to be mermaids, vampires, and werewolves, not to mention a combination of any of the three.
It's really preposterous. It's also useless to call them out on it, because none of them will hear any of it.

I am one of the members who just read most of the time. I only replied when I want to point out the obvious [duh!] . In either case, I being here in this site for a long time, and that is how I gave my answer based on observation.
Aud..i would just like to point out that vamps and werewolves do exist. Just not the way the role players believe they do. That is hollywoods fault. LOL
Hollywood's and various author's before Hollywood, but Hollywood has done the most damage considering that they have made movies out of most of the worst books. Well, actually some of them were pretty good, but basing judgment on knowledge they were all pretty damaging to the truth.
another point also hollywoods aim is to entertain and make large revenues in the process and not to teach sadly a bye product of that now inhabits sites such as these entertainment and monetisation in order feed the site with members means we end up like this with members chatting and being harry potter wanabes
Yup. Hollywood is good at what it does, but some people don't seem to realize that entertainment is what they do. If you want knowledge I suggest watching animal planet or some such information based program.
i being here for a very short time and i have noteced that there are not very meny people that have very much acurit info on what they are talking/teaching and yes it is hollywood's fault, but people shud know it is not based on absolute fact. And it is imposibal to be any combonation, and don't mermaids live in the sea/ocean. but truthfuly i am a wherewolf/Lycan (by blood)

Not all combinations are impossible. The ones that are actually creatures may be impossible, but if you list vampires among them then not all. Vampirism is a genetically inherited disease and a vamp can be a lycan if it has inherited both. They are a bit less common then just lycans or just vampires, but they are real.
Forgot to say, even though I used the word "creature" all "creatures" are still human. Classified human by DNA, birth certificate, and the fact that he/she was born from human parents.
