maybe it was a sonic boom?

I have heard people saying it was a meteorite, (I hope I'm using the proper term), and one person said they saw it very close to their vehicle.

aliens maybe, or a metorite, could be anything really

I somewhat doub't extraterrestrial beings. I have been told it is a meteorite, if anything start's happening I'll be sure to post when I can. :P

I'm not sure but generally house and street lights have separate power lines. Maybe there was a problem with the street lights power line and the power lines can go for miles.

You know how the world is going to end in 2012? If it is this could, be showing the space and time slowly braking down. If it is this could be a sine but what do I know? Right, well just a gessing (sp?) I could and probably wrong.

Indeed you are. It was a normal meteorite, the size of a grapefruit. The light could be seen for miles, as shown in this police car dashboard camera pointing towards whereabouts I live. It wasn't incredibly destructive, and the lights were indeed damaged slightly by the impact.
