I think our creator would be much happier if we just lived our lives happily, and enjoy all the beautiful things that we share this existance with, than worship whatever it may be.
Because if it did desire worship, then it would have an ego, and in doing so, wouldn't be divine. :]
I'm Jewish! Only my mother's side is jewishand that side is mostly gone... Theres my mom, sister, grandmother and great aunt. My dad's side is VERY christian. His side is huge. My cousins are racist against me and don't include me in anything. My parents devorsed so i travel to tennessee to see them all the time but my cousins oviosly don't like it when I come. I feel left out and hide from them. My dad helps me hide sometimes and stays with me in his room. At school I had a huge gang come up to me and do the natzi sign at me. I get Yelled at and teased and very commonly get threatened, but i hide and cry and hide my bruses with makeup... Religion is hard for me... does anyone else have the same problem?
I am abrahamic. I don't beleive In the teachings of Organized religion. so I put together the thre versions of the Big Three Polytheistic religions (Judaism, christianity, And Islam.) yet i practice wicca. So I guess Im an Abrahamic Wiccan :)
I competely agree with a lot of people here that don't have a religion.
I was born & raised a Catholic.
My father's religion goes all the way back to the Inquisition & the side of his family are very strong Catholic believers.
My mother was raised by my aunt who is a nun since the age of 4 years old. She was raised in a convent so Catholicism comes very strong in my family.
I follow NO RELIGIO! I RESPECT ALL RELIGIONS & ALL BELIEFS but I also strongly believe that religion is.... in a way questionable.
Why does God have to be a male? If God is the ALL powerful, he made aeveryhting, then why should "he" be diminished to a mere male????? Can't he be a male, a female, an animal, the water, the wind, the earth & in general EVERYTHING?
Every religion has its own believes, but every religion also strongly believe that theirs is THE ONE & everyone elses is wrong.
I strongly believe that no one is right & no one is wrong!
We all know the difference between good & bad & our actions & choices are our own doing.
I'm don't follow any religion. My mom and grandmother, knowing this, try there hardest to make me believe in christianity but it only serves to push me away from it more.
I beleive he and other gods and godesses exist, I just don't believe any of them created the universe. Also, I hate being tied down by religion.
I beleive either no one knows or the answer is something only a small few know.
It is wasted effort to argue about religion (or politics!). Each religion will have good points, and give comfort to many. When evil happens in the name of religion, it is not the fault of the religion. The fault is in the people. All religions are worthy of respect. It is only when a believer tries to force his/her beliefs on others that trouble arises. In these troubled times there is much interest in "interfaith" communication. My Pagan group (in Leeds) meets regularly with other Faiths, and we seem to get on well together. This seems the way to go; try to understand other religions, and condemn none of them.
