Well yes you could do that if you wanted to. Sigil magick is very personal, I usually cross out all reoccurring letters but you could keep one if you wanted
Can you keep like a sigil in a book of shadows? and not have to like burn it or get rid of it, because i would like to be able to use my sigil over and over.also, what does it mean, when people say you have to put like a positive saying into the sigil, like you already have the thing that you made the sigil for.
I been wondering, can you write a sigil, with the words i want in it, or does it have to be, like where the sigil already manifested, because i only seen people, talk about.you have to write down, what you desire in your sigil, when doing sigil magick, but make it to where it already happened, but can you make it to where, its like..i want this to happen, with the words, i want in it? because, i am really into sigil magick and like making sigils, so i want to learn more about this.
There are many ways to make sigils. Aside from the method already here, there are ways to make sigils by breaking down the letters into numbers and using a grid and breaking down the letters into the lines they use. But your intention is the real power, even doodling a symbol while focusing on an intention can be a sigil.
And yes, they can be on a medium other than paper. Drawing them on your skin (as long as whatever pen you use is safe), drawing them on the fog in a window, making the sigil with yarn or thread, etc. are all options. Your intention is what matters.
And yes, you can put a sigil in your BoS. Burning is not the only way to charge a sigil; crystals, meditation, running water over it, etc. are all options.
Sigils can be used in a magical practice, yes, Lady. The process embeds the statement of intent into the subconscious mind, giving the abstract end result that indelible association. However the sigil is charged, released, and whether it is left in an inocuous location or destroyed, that is part of the key to their working.
I like to create sigils that i remember the intention of, rather than fire and forget.
I charge them by seeing them and putting them in relevant places to the intention to create relevant associations.
I also charge them in the creation process of laying out the framework of intention.the creative process is highly powerful.
sigils are very versatile magic, can be as simple or as complicated as you need or require.
i used to believe sigils were an unconscious, hypnosis programming tool. hence the fire and forget method, to imbed it as a message to your subconscious.
while i still believe that to be something of a viable route. in my experience the latent energies of a place can be arranged to flow differently ia sigil magic, and affecting the ambient energy of one's personal and non-personal environment is powerful.
i believe humans are meant to adapt to their environment, and not the other way around.
I believe all words, symbols ideas, thoguhtforms, ideologies can all be expressed visually. i use as much variety of symbolism when creating sigils to express intention. animals, plants, stars, geographic features. things that speak to the ancient ancestral consciousness.
things recognizable andrelevant hundreds of years ago and hundreds of years from now.
