If they want to charge you for materials, let them or politely ask if they want to be charged, if they don't, they don't, but don't forget to ask if they wish the materials to be paid for.

Casting has been in my family for years, and we cast for others, and my mom has people pay half of what the supplies would cost if she doesn't have any of it, and a quarter if she does. Her day job is a teacher, so she doesn't make alot, and supplies can be expensive sometimes. For that reason, I think that asking for reasonable payment is appropriate, especially if the caster doesn't have alot of time/money to go around.

TLDR: I agree.

Since joining this website I have got lots of people from africa asking me pay as well!

I did get one person who told me to buy my own supplies,

and she would do a spell for me there but I had to finish it up or do it at my place!

I was wondering does this work or is this also a scam?

Cabdace: Explain upfront that you can't afford cash out of pocket, however offer something you have in exchange for their use of supplies. For example: herb or flower seeds, dried herbs, oils, handmade candles or soaps, etc.....Spellcasters don't like to be taken advantage of either.
However, learning to cast your own spells, would be an even better option. In my opinion the spell is the strongest when casted by the person it is intended for.

If a spell caster asks for payment,of any kind, tell them you will pay after the spell has worked. They will disappear. Rapidly!

I disagree that spell caster should not get paid, yes they are gifted, but they do the work, it takes money to buy the materials and energy to do the work, so why not charge? Also if someone is willing to pay any amount to spell casters it's their personal choice, I personally charge for the materials needed and a little for my time and energy invested, because when my clients receive the results, they are usually happy, and as a result they always gift me in ways that I know they are excited, some do it with money, tips, flowers, etc.

I agree spell casting should not come with a price but should also not be used lightly it should truly only be used for those who absolutely need help . Its an ancient way of life that is sacred not a product to be sold.

Well, in my opinion, and I know this to be true, the universe is exacting and will exact the uttermost farthing into and from our lives. It is a universal principle that if you give then receive or if you receive then give, regardless of the plan of being that you are on. The universe has given some of us the power and the ability to help our fellow man, who needs it by spellcasting. I see nothing wrong in paying a reasonable fee for a spell. It is a sign of appreciation on the part the requester, and "a due diligent" to perform on the part of the practitioner.
