Its like this, I try to meditate to learn of my past life, to talk to the sylphs, to pretty much advance, but every time i try to meditate i can't at all seem to get there, sure, ill probably trance, but thats it.I,ve tried incense, sticks, cones, music, but my mind only wonders.I can cast spells of wind and it will act on right away, so it can't be that i have weak magic, but I do take on the wind element very well. So why Can't i meditate D';

You are trying to meditate for a purpose. It does not work that way. Nor does "emptying" your Mind. Just relax,when thoughts come into your head just,gently, push them away. Allow your subconscious brain to "take over". Practice! It may not happen the first few times. When it does (and it will!) you will be absolutely amazed.
I think you had the wrong place or to be precise the wrong spot where you should meditate..
It must be done in a proper POWER SPOT..
The one that would give you a sense of Being relaxed and has positive energy..
There are power spots that can make you uncomfortable and confused..
I kno this may some dum, but how r way i could go about pushing these thoughts aside for the moment? . Theres no much place for me to do this, since my room is the only place i can get the most privacy, and nah ive been trying for months D':
Be easy with yourself. You are creating a lot of unnecessary suffering. *Meditation is a life's practice.* I'll say it again: Meditation is a life's practice.
How many years did it take you to learn to read? How about if you took up kung fu - would you expect to be like Bruce Lee in a week's time? Would you expect to be even ok in a years time of daily practice?
AND there are many, many types of meditation. Maybe you haven't found the one that resonates with you. Search through the various yogic traditions, various Buddhist techniques, Zen techniques, Daoist techniques, seated meditations, laying down meditations, moving meditations like qigong, mindfulness practices.
Embrace being a beginner! Instead of saying "I can't meditate" and being all distressed, state: "I am a begginer at meditating," and jump right in!
Good !Your on the right track ! Okay well When I was new to magic what I did was find a candle in my house and well I put the candle in front of me. Then I put all my problems into the candle and put everything about me to the the candle. It may sound dumb but its like gaining energy and meditating. Do it over 7 minutes. SO you can meditate like that. Its hard for me because my family is loud. But I do it anyways if I focus. GOOD LUCK !
As you meditate, and as thoughts enter your mind, or feelings, just let it all flow through you. Be an observer instead of fighting them away or being really in them. Be a vessel, a relaxed, higher conscious vessel. Once you reach the trance you need, then seek what it is you seek, while at that higher level. Remember not to fight. Be a vessel.
Whatever is your element, surround yourself with that, with symbols of that, or whatever you are able with where you are and what you have. I am water. So I meditate like this best in the bath, floating on my back in the creek, or just sitting next to the creek with my hands and feet in the water. I have a friend that is fire. He will build a bonfire or gaze at a candle flame. I have another friend that is earth she will go into the trees and draw up the earth's energy while she goes into her trance state. You get the idea.
