I keep reading books, websites, and hearing about faeries and that they were important to know about when doing magic. I'm not sure weather to believe it or not, or if they even exist. I heard there was a spell to be able to see them? Do they really exist and is there really such a spell? I'm just curious, but it would mean a lot if someone could clarify this whole thing. Thanks :)
Different people will tell you different things. I personally believe that reality is mostly perception. There are a few inarguable things about life though like gravity will always pull you back to earth, sucky things will happen, and you can't change your DNA. However, I believe that if you believe that fairies are real then they are real. If you don't then they don't. I'm sure that there is a spell out there somewhere but it always works better if you use a spell that you have written. But before you do that you need to learn the basics. (I looked at your profile and noticed you were a beginner.)You need to learn meditation, visualization, how to cast a circle, grounding and centering and a few other things before casting spells. Feel free to send me a message if you have anymore questions.
It is said that during Midsummer and Samhain, a wash of marigold water on your eyelids is believed to help see them. The recommended time is around midnight. I have never tried this myself but so I don't really know. It's worth to give it a shot though.
Many people do work with fae magick, I personally practiced some time with these great beings, but they are not easy to spot. They are not in this plane.
They are also very picky, so they do not trust any human, it took me months before I began to feel their pressence. But that is just my experience.
i sort of saw a faerie once a few years ago. i was laying under a tree inside a circle with a couple of my friends [two of them were wiccan] well, i kept seeing a purple orb of light out of the corner of my eye for a spit second. eventually my pagan friend said she was seeing something too, so we lite some incense and pulled out some candied. after a bit, in the smoke, we would see a tiny arm, or a wing, once we saw the whole figure. [by in the smoke, i don't mean the smoke looked like a small person, it was as though someone was standing in the way of the smoke, so it went around]
but that was a one time thing. so i do believe in faeries [i also believe in dragons although i've never come into contact with one] they're just solitary and keep to themselves. just practice and leave offerings, one day you'll meet one. but again, it comes down to personal believe.
I heard humans can naturally see them on the Beltane and one other night. However, myth tells that if you even think you see one that you will be taken back with them into their plane to be matted with and sometimes never let go. I don't know that it's true or not, it's just what I have learned when studding them.
