Merry Meet Everyone! :) This is my first post the gives information and since I have started from square one, I am gathering infromation from research, books, and my family's BoS (Book of Shadows) and I have conducted much information. And I have decided to share it with you all :)

Meditation is the art of clearing your mind and relaxing your body from any stress it may have. Another definition is reflecting on a particular theme, objects, thought, awareness, etc. Meditation really isnt a magickal thing; more like a traditional thing in many religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism. It is a very important topic in Magick, for it helps clear the mind in order to cast spells while wandering off in your head, as well as having more concentration. A suggestion is to do at least a light meditation before doing anything dealing with controlling energy. Meditation is something that is common to those who seek peace and happiness, which is what Meditation can lead to. Not only that, but as well as gain knowledge, enter deeper consciousness, gain understanding, relax the body, gain more connection with the Goddess (or God, or Odin, or whichever God/ess you worship), and can also be used to eliminate bad feelings such as anger, greed, etc plus much more! It is a very useful thing! It is recommended to ground yourself before and after any meditation. Now there are different meditations that each has a certain purpose with its own techniques. Its always best to try making your own techniques or adjusting them to your needs.

Common Meditation:

The most common meditation is always the most learned. All other meditations become simpler once you have learned how to do these. There are a total of three consciousness of meditations (in these anyways); those being the light meditation, regular meditation, and deep meditation. (P.S. Though its not mentioned in any of the sections of the meditation, I must add that you must close your eyelids! )

Light Meditation:

Light Meditation is, perhaps, the easiest form of Meditation. It can be done within five to then minutes and should be practiced before the other three to ensure easy meditation, but if you want to take the challenge, then go ahead. What you must first do is begin with relaxing! It is always important to relax when doing a meditation for full effect. Now sit down in a nice cozy chair or your sofa, etc. with your back straight. It would be best if you lay down if this is your first meditation. In this meditation, you will not be focusing on clearing your mind but ridding it of negative thoughts. A simple way is to focus on something happy (rainbows, stars, ice cream, bunnies, unicorns, dirt?). It doesnt matter what it is; as long as it is symbolic and happy to you. While focusing on it with not to much focus, make your breathing into a rhythm-like breathing being four-second inhale, one-second hold, and then a four-second exhale. Do this until you feel a surge of energy or relaxed. Once you feel like its done, stop the rhythmic breathing and start breathing normally. Now the important thing is that you do not get up suddenly! If you do, that will cause the thoughts to come abruptly back, and will result in you feeling like you did in the first place. What you should do is sit/lay there and let the thoughts come slowly (dont force them).

Regular Meditation:

A regular meditation is probably the most common mediation practiced. It is similar to the light meditation but you must dig deeper into it. What you must first do is relax and get comfortable and if you feel like dimming the light, using candle light, or playing peaceful music in the background, by all means, go ahead! If it works for you, then use it! Now do the same rhythmic breathing as you did in the light meditation, but instead of thinking of a happy thing, just let your mind hang. Let the thoughts leave by themselves. They will act like dogs. If you dont pay attention to them, they will leave and find someone who will give it attention. So try not to force the thoughts out. After a few minutes, you will realize that the thoughts are coming by slower and feel yourself falling into a form of meditation. If you find that a thought is leeching on you and wont let go, then focus on the back of your eyelids, and forget it. This meditation can be used to relax and to find some knowledge that was hard to find. Whatever your using it for, make sure you dont linger for long. It can be pretty hard to get out of and can give you a headache! When you end up pulling out of your meditation, let the thoughts come back to you slowly. Do not force them. Now when you get up, get up slowly to avoid that sudden blood rush to your head! The time is unlimited so dont rush! Take your time.

Deep Meditation:

Deep meditation is a very advanced type of meditation that requires lots of energy and training in regular meditations. This type of meditation can be used to enter other worlds (astral world, spirit, etc.), finding deeper meaning in a simple thing, having complete relaxation, and much more. Most rituals or processes to enter dimensions and what not will probably tell you a deep meditation is needed and if not, it is better to do so. Now what you must first do is relax and get comfortable. You may use dim lighting and soothing music in the background if you want, but it is recommended to be in complete darkness (or as less-light as possible) and complete quietness. Now start doing to same rhythmic breathing as always and clear your mind. If there are any leech-thoughts, then try to overcome them so that it wont interfere with the Meditation later on. Now visualize a place of peace and harmony such as space or the beach, or even a forest (really pretty one!). This is your place and should be rewarding. This is the place where your Spirit Guides can find you or where you can find answers. Once youre done, start coming back to consciousness and let thoughts come back slowly. This is also a way to help with sleeping if youre having troubles with it. With this meditation, you shouldnt really time yourself. It will cause you to rush. Take your time!! I have done this once and it lasted around two hours! Be patient with yourself.

Healing Meditation:

Start by sitting in a comfortable position on the floor or your couch. It helps greatly if you have white blessed healing candles to gain the energy from while doing this meditation. Visualize the light (or energy) of the candles filling your body, starting from your feet and going up (if you dont have candles, then just visualize light). While this light or energy is filling your body, feel it relaxing your whole body including your mind. When doing this, visualize the parts that are diseased or filled with pain as a shadowed light (representing the badness and pain of it). Do this until your body is filled with light completely and all muscles are relaxed as can be. Now that you have all the light and energy in your body, visualize the energy/light surrounding the shadowed place, suffocating the blackness and leaving behind an orb of light. Now spread the energy evenly around the body once done with every shadowed spot. Now return your used energy to either the candles for another usage or to the Earth for the Goddess to recycle. Dont forget to ground yourself!

I would really enjoy some feedback :) Thank you for your time :)
