3 fold law alternative

So, there are some things I want to clarify about casting curses and hexes on people. Yes, if you do cast one on a person WHO DOES NOT DESERVE IT, then it will come right back around and hit you three times as bad. BUT! if you cast on a person WHO DID DO SOMETHING BAD to someone else, then you will be justifying there action, thus no bad will necessarily come your way.

Example 1: If I felt like making someone sick just cause I could, and I curse the person and they didn't do anything to deserve it, then soon I would become 3 times as sick as the person I cursed.

Example 2: If I cast a curse on someone who mugged or beat up another person, and I cast a curse on them to make them very sick, then the person will become ill and no bad would necessarily come my way, because I am justifying his wrong.

Hopes this makes sense.

You might as well just wait for karma to come. Many wouldn't want to take their chances with curses though.

slightly, personally the only times i ever thought of cursing a person was when they stabbed me in the back, but i never went through with it cuz i felt like it was a childish reason. but the example you gave, in that situation it's ok.

Correct FairyGoddess, but sometimes it takes a little too long for karma to come back to them, sometimes you just need to speed things up, if you know what I mean :p

I see, and I agree with Neko. If you use curses for silly reasons then they probably will come back to get you, but if it's with a good purpose then you'll be fine. I think that's the true meaning of the threefold law.

So are you also ignoring the part of the rede where it says ..harm none? You may as well just give up being a wiccan if you don't want to follow the rede.

Well I read in a book about magick that you should try to deal with the person without using magick first. If a person did you wrong you should try to talk to them about it or report them to someone. And if this doesn't work then you can use magick. "In wicca it's believed that allowing a wrong or evil to remain is harmful to everybody." That's what the book said. So I don't think the 3 fold law would apply if your intention was to bring justice.

karma only afects you if you believe it will if you dont believe in it it cant touch you besides the 3 fold law is a Wicca thing not all paths believe in it or karma

If I wanted to speed up karma, i wouldnt do a curse, I would ask for the person to get what they deserved. I wouldnt specify what I thought they deserved, because maybe they deserved worse, maybe they didnt deserve as much. I wouldnt want to cause harm to another, I would just want them to get what they deserved.

I'm not a wiccan so... Yeah but I don't just toss around curses. If somebody has a hard life and they are cruel to people I won't do anything to bad with them (though they really should find a alteritive method to get rid of the pain)... BUT If they have a easy life and get whatever they want and be mean then I might it depends on the situation.
