Intention, measured

If you've never heard of it, a double-blind study conducted by Dr. Masura Emoto seems to prove that intention can affect the development of crystalline structures in ice in a measurable way.

Dr. Emoto had 2,000 subjects in Tokyo focus their thoughts either positively or negatively on water in an electromagnetically shielded room in California and compare the crystals that formed to a control group they'd set aside. Then, those samples were blindly assessed by aesthetic appeal by 100 independent judges.

The conclusion was profound. Positively-'trained' ice crystals formed beautiful, elaborate geometric shapes. Negatively-'trained' ice crystals formed unfamiliar and minimalist shapes.

The effects of the study are profound. The human body is composed of over 60% water; if our thoughts can affect how water develops, how might negative thoughts adversely affect our health?

It's a fun idea, and surely thoughts have power, but this guy was debunked. It doesn't help is site is new agey and sells a product based on the research.

That study was completely flawed if you go into the details.
It's a regular one that people quote in metaphysical books and lectures.

Hence, the data has actually been evaluated independently. It's not what it suggests. Sorry to bust your bubble.
