'Be as thou wast wont to be:
See as thou wast wont to see:
Dian's bud o'er Cupid's flower
Hath such force and blessed power.'

- William Shakespeare

WARNING Be careful with this stuff as it can really affect central nervous system, doing long term or permanent damage better to not ingest it at all. It is really REALLY bitter for a reason.

Medicinally it has been used as a tonic and to calm the stomach, cool a fever, purgative, sea sickness, getting rid of worms and oddly stop male 'urges'.

In magick it has long been used to heighten senses, smudging 'warning toxic smoke', avoid indecent when traveling or allow to travel further and to induce visions.

The oil from wormwood leaves and flowers is used to make absinthe, and some breweries will use wormwood herb in place of hops for certain beers and wines. It's super bitter, can be toxic when ingested/used improperly, but it's been used since ancient Egyptian times for an antiseptic, and relieving stomach issues and menstrual cramps.

Wormwood grows wild in England. Before the chemicals, such as DDT, it was used as an insecticide by farmers.
And yes, it is very bitter, and quite dangerous!

when you brew the wormwood.. even if you find something with the correct amount for you ( as yes it can be very toxic) keep your size in mind when giving (in this case maybe suggesting a dose) most of that is based on a full sized adult person, so just remember that can be from 150-200lb... good luck and please be careful

I know people here hate moral bleating or warnings but I would be remiss if I wasn't to include. Firstly I would advise against this as there are other ways of gaining visions without a chemical crutch. But if you are going to go ahead with it you NEED to follow the steps below.

NEVER DO THIS ALONE MAKE SURE SOMEONE KNOWS HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TAKEN AND OF WHAT AND IS WILLING TO CALL EMERGENCY HELP!!!

As I have said before on here there is NO way of Knowing the potency of a herb from looking at it anyone that tells you otherwise is a fool but here are a few guidelines.

Location: Learn where you herb of choice likes to grow. A herb that has had a rough life tends to have a stronger potency than that, that has been coddled.

Age of the plant: A mature plant of one year plus is likely to be stronger than a young plant. This is not always the case so check with the plant you are using

What are you taking: You need to know what wormwood you are working with as there are many varieties common being the strongest and Roman the weakest.

Preperation:

The tips of the plant are best and can be used dried or fresh although the whole plant can be used.

You need to steep half a teaspoon (dried) or 1 teaspoon (fresh) of wormwood in 250ml of water that has just come off the boil for 10 to 15 minutes. It is better to take it before food as it will increase apatite. do not take this more than twice a day

---- WARNING ----

Wormwood is poisonous. Use of this plant can lead to all or some of symptoms listed ***ADDICTION***, restlessness, cramps, headaches, dizziness, paralysis, nausea, vomiting, insomnia, convulsions, unconsciousness, coma and DEATH and can cause contact dermatitis.

I will not accept any liability / responsibility for anyone trying this. You do so at your own rick
