A sign of empathy?

This happens all the time. Whenever I see a scar on someone, relatively new or not, I get this pain in my stomach. It's like I can feel the pain of that scar. Is this what you would call empathy?

I don't believe so. The way I understand empathy it is the ability to feel the emotions of others. Perhaps even the pain they are in, in the same area on your body.

oh i know alot on this :) empathy is when if someone gets insulted like something only the person would get you would feel exactly what they feel in there stomach

empaths feel both emotions and pain... for example i can instantly in real life see how some1 feels (i could even put myself on their place but thats not so good idea x.x) and as for pain..it happened few times.. once when my old classmate was trying to find pressure point on my best friend and hit it kind of too hard i felt same as my best friend.. also theres small forest full of trash near my house.. i can feel their pain.. once when me and my best friend went there i felt as something stabbed me.. but thats only when im close to that forest.. like in front of it or in it.. ppl use it for garbage -.-

I am the exact same way. I can feel the pain of others, and I can also sense the emotions of others, and feel the general mood of a room. It is a sign of empathy, just a different kind of empathy from sensing emotions.

Everyone is different, so that means you would have different abilities. Perhaps this could mean you are an empath. So I think yes you are.
