I was just reading the bible and right before noah it said and there were giants on the earth at that time. What do you think that refers to? Jotun? Dinasaours?
It is believed to have been Dinosaur as they are commonly described in the bible. But if you are reading the beginning of Genesis they are Nephilim. Nephilimsare a halve human half angel creature.
How do you know that about the nephilims? Is there somewhere i can read more about it? I know about the alien thing. They show all sorts of stuff about it on the history channel and the discovery channel.
Nephilim are mentioned in the Book of Enoch.You can find it and read it.Enoch is believed to be great-grandfather of Noah.I am not sure in which three of the books that is ,through I read something about them like ages ago.You should research more if you wish.I would think it was the 1-st one.There are another two books that are attributed to him ,but of course we can not be sure that this is the exact case.
Why does everything in the bible half to have a meaning, I once wrote a joke bible (which whas even bigger than the original) and I had stoeys and stuf in it too, I just made it and all those storys because every day I have half a hour of free time and it whas a thing to do, so I have 500 pages of A4 paper with storys and other stuf like the bible, but none of them had a point or a meaning, in plenty of famous authors books storys poems in school they teach us what they mean but for 1/3 of them the authors themselves state that it has no meaning, but fore some reason it is in the school plane to say there is, even if it is the bible the storys in there dont necessarily half to mean something, just because one can find a answere dosent mean that there is one, no offense to anyones balives !!!the next part is my own personal perspactive on this and not a religious insult!!! I myself just laf at what the bible says and consider it one big joke (again no religious offense)
I agree that much of the bible is to be taken symbolically and metaphorically. However some events in the bible corroborate with that of the mythology of other cultures, for example the sumerians also told a story about a colossal flood.
As for the book of Enoch, I believe it was banned form the bible, and was thought lost for many years. It is an interesting read to say the least, and I can see why people may attribute aliens to the books story.
When you think about it, if you believe angels and other beings to be physically alive and real- or even to be n a state of individual existence, then all of these spiritual beings are in a sense 'extra-terrestrial'.
They are just storys, just like all of history. It's up to you whether you trust the source or not and see throught the metaphors and symbols or believe they are true to the word. Nobody knows. What I can say is the bible is not a joke and holds a lot of wisdom both hidden by qabalistic riddles and in plain sight.
