I consider myself a non "neo" druid. So I hope to be accepted anyway on that forum.
I hope to be able to share with you my passion for nature, objects of power, and the ancient creatures that swarm our forests.
I also have a passion for nature and all the wonderful creatures with in! I consider myself a hedge-witch and I have a homemade altar for now made of sticks I collected in the forest, and rocks that I have found in the forest as well. I love going in the forest and just having time to myself while enjoying the sounds and smells of nature. Follow a path that feels right for you. With more reading and studying, you will no doubt come to a path that suits you. Good luck!
I see that you and me, are close similar... however, my altar is alive and breathing. I allways say: sitting under an oak tree it's easy to see the threads that weave the world!
I specially love the forest at night and more over on foggy nights... mouthless voices telling incredible stories, powerful energy in the air...
What a wonderful idea! I live far away from the forest so it's the best I can do for now! I would love to live in a small cottage where the forest is my back yard. Right now I just live in a small apartment, but maybe one day. And by then, I will be more experienced and I look forward to that.
Don't worry! For sure one day the forest will call you ;). In addition, it's better not to get into the woods too much, if you do not know them.
I've been practicing for about 10 years.
My advice: don'tget bogged down. In 10 years you're going to be exactly where you have to be. And I'm sure you'll be satisfied with it.
Yes! you have to get into forest... but not too deep nor rough ;). From my pont of view, the relationship with forests is similar than with any other creature: you must begin slowly and step by step. You won't approach to someone and ask: "hey, wanna marry me?" will you? :). So that's the same. You should take into account that inside some forests there are also ancient creatures, some caring... others not that much.
The best option would be that someone could help you with your first steps. However, it is almost impossible to find people to rely in. When i began I was a little crazy and unconscious... I recommend not imitate me
Anyway If you're decided, by now, get into the forests allways at morning or at least on day breaking, once inside, think, watch, and listen. Once you be able to "see" and "listen" the forest, you'll be ready for next step.
Alright, I will take it nice and slow. Let nature come to me as I go to it.
It is hard to find someone to help me out where I am, when it comes to a physical being. Which is why I am on here, studying on my own and getting tips.
That sounds like a good plan for me. I will do that!
Thank you for your advice. I really appreciate it!
Is it okay if I add you as a friend for future reference, or perhaps a day to day reference? It's nice to know someone who is walking down the same path as me, but way ahead of me. I will catch up! :)
