I heard that in meditating you have to not think of anything. I try this yet i still think of something. Could you help me?

The mind is a drunk monkey stung by a bee.

There are many forms of meditation, the key is to relax, not silence your mind [some forms yes] it takes practice to quiet the thoughts so don't expect to shut off everything after the first week or two. Focus on something [breathing, a ticking clock, soothing music, repeating a word like 'calm', 'peace', or something similar] so when a thought comes to mind, don't get discouraged, just focus on your breathing/word/music and 'ignore' the thoughts. Let them flow through and pass. It's when you indulge these thoughts when you loose focus and stop meditating.

It is impossible to not think of anything. To do so one would have to kill themself. Instead, try to focus on one thing. Remember, don't try not thinking of anything. The mind is always thinking, even when you are asleep. To not think, would be to cut yourself completely from your body, severing your lifeline, and killing you.

AdmiralEpic, I don't know where it is that you're getting any of your information, but it's ludicrous. It is possible to clear your mind for meditation. Yoga can help and so can deep breathing exercises. There are books and websites dedicated to helping you clear your mind and prepare yourself for meditation, even.

Clearing your mind will not kill you. Please take the time to do some research before posting on any posts like this. You are obviously very confused when it comes to magic.

As Nekoshema told you, it can take a lot of time to be able to clear your mind, but it can be done.

One small spell I say to clear my mind when it is deep in thought. I never thought.

listen to music...maybe its because u dislike the quiet....i know that my problem when i try meditating
