The Abramelin Ritual

Hi everyone,
so I was watching a documentary on Aliester Crowly the other day, and there was this mention about "the Abramalin ritual" . So I began reading a bit and I found out this is a ritual to unite with one's holy guardian angel but it also says that the ritual is a dangerous. So I just wanted to know If anyone knew about or performed the ritual, how their experiences on the ritual is or maybe an explanation of why it is dangerous I mean aren't holy guardian angels supposed to be helpful?

I would think that if it is a sort of summoning ritual then the gate is open for technically any spirit, so that could be the danger mentioned. Meaning, all rituals have a danger.

I would recommend you read more on and by Crowley, and on the subject of Thelema, before you do anything to ensure you understand what is meant by "Holy Gaurdian Angel".

The Abramalin method is not dangerous. It is a process taking six months that ends with the result of knowledge and conversation with the holy guardian angel. A large portion of that six months is done in isolation, so if you have a job or school that would make the process impossible. It's is perfectly safe, but hard to do and generally not recommended for beginners.

The Original operation Lasts for 18 months , the Golden Dawn Material reduces it to 1/3 of the duration whereas Aleister Crowley adapted it to suit his needs and reduced it to 1/60 of the original duration and 1/20 of the Golden Dawn's translation Duration. He Changed a lot of details rendering the ritual Unstable at best and extremely dangerous for those who are not prepared to do it.
