Hi! I am reading the book "supermarket witchcraft" which focuses on the theory and practice of magic without a religious emphasis. It's a good read for beginners since you can use everyday supplies for your spells, and he gives good examples for the basics like meditation. Of course, check out "the basics expanded" page in the forums on this site.
