So since oxygen is a gas every single one human's element is air. Our if you prefer mass or molecular composition, our mass is 57% water, our molecular structure is 65% water, on either scale the majority of our make up is water. So all humans are water.
Each and every one of us is made of dead stars, so we're all fire, and we have plenty of salts and metals, so we're all earth.
All that being said. You have no element in regards to the humorist elements. No one was ever assigned elements in humorism, the idea was to balance all four. Humorism was never intended to be magical, it was the medical "science" of its time.
In Elizabethan times people began associating the humors to different characteristics and foods, etc. I generally assume the idea that someone was choleric, they were fiery, easily angered, ambitious, etc. The idea must have spread from there that a person with those characteristics must be a generally choleric person, thus their "element" is fire. There is no correlation with said humors and magic though.
An interesting statement, but I don't understand it's full meaning. Is it saying that no one has a specific element due to science or is it just something else that I'm not getting?
Yes no one has a single element that they are, but people have specific elements that they are most connected to and choose to work with, this is not to say that it is scientific or decided at birth, simply preference and connection.
well in science terms yes we have no pacific element. but in magical terms people chose to work with either fire, water. earth or air because that is the element that they feel comfortable working with. and what I don't understand is how in any way is this humorous
The point is those so called elements aren't elements at all. They're humors. You can work with anything in magic. You can work with radiation as easily as fire. Neither become elements. Fire is a physical reaction. You can work with literally anything. The term element is misused. The absolute main point is that no one has and designated humor. Being an Aries does not in fact mean that you are assigned the "fire element" as a human using magic you're just as free to work with light, water, or even your own feces if you see fit.
There are a variety of elements.
Chemisty elements.
Humor elements.
Empedocles elements.
Chinese medicine elements.
Pagan/new age elements.
The human body also contains molecules.
Such as:
Di-oxygen.
dihydrogen monoxide.
It is up to the individual to decide the method of using information. A person could borrow from multiple types of understanding elements, or just one.
Hello, thanks for your explanation on what are we composed of, i would like to know more about this, it is just what i was looking for, how did we turn to be dead stars? i would like to have more info about this, sorry my english is not perfect beacuse i am spanish,,,nice to meet you and very very amazing stuff..
Lucky, our chemical composition did not turn into dead stars. Stars turned into our composition.
Stars are the fissile chemical mills of the universe. They bind and smash atoms in enormous sustained nuclear reactions. When there is not enough material for fusion, a star dies. Whether it supernovas, becomes a red giant, or what, depends on many factors from total mass to percentages of which elements.
Our sun's predecessor ended as a super nova (it asplodered). What remained coalesced into our current solar system.
