Hey everyone
I'm very new to this and we'll everything. I am coming from Christianity, Catholic. I'm not sure on keeping the religion or what I intend to do. Right now I want to earn more and see what guides me or 'speaks' to me.
What is the best place for a beginner to start?
What path/region are you? What is that/does that mean?
Hi and welcome to SOM, I suggest you read The Basics, What Magick Can and Cannot Do, and the different types of Magick before starting any spells. If you have any questions you can mail me and I can answer as best I can :).

Hi! I am also new here and still new to the craft myself.
The 'general info' section in the spell casting forum has some good threads to go through and if you go onto the homepage and click on 'more articles' in the box at the right on the top there's a lot of interesting stuff in there to read.
Reading everything you can and doing your own research is the best way to start, I haven't cast any spells as yet as I don't feel ready and I've been studying more intensely for the last 6 or 7 months.
This is a great site though so you are in the right place to learn :)
Welcome.
1. I always recommend reading a lot about different religions and beliefs to help you figure out what you personally believe in. Also, read the Featured Articles section and the pinned forum posts on this site. Check out paganwiccanabout.com for some more information; I found the site to be extremely helpful when I started. Also, ask questions! As long as you're willing and ready to learn, people are completely willing to help you out with things. Just make sure you don't expect to be spoonfed--use the forums for tips, not as you're entire study guide.
2. As of now, I am an eclectic Neopagan. I find truths from many different Pagan and Neopagan traditions and form my own around it. It is still developing, though, as I grow and read more.
3. I'm a little unsure of exactly how to answer this one, so I'll do my best. I do a lot of spellcasting--magick was what I was originally interested in, and the rest of my tradition fell in place around that. My approach to spellcasting is a bit chaotic, but I wouldn't consider it chaos magick personally (though I have read about the practice). I acknowledge, give offerings to, and communicate with many spiritual entities, such as faeries, elementals (which some people classify as a type of faery), and those that are commonly refered to as "ghosts." This includes speaking to entities with a pendulum (which I keep on my altar), burning incense or lighting candles for them, and generally just reading a lot about my practice (religion requires a lot of reading xD).
4. I have been practicing for a little more than three years, I believe.
Feel free to message me if you need anything.
