Merry meet! I am looking for a guide or teacher to help me learn and grow my Wiccan belief. I have denied my feelings of being a witch all my life as I was raised catholic but never felt a connection to "god" or "Satan". I realized I do not believe in them.
I am an empath and can see snippets of my own future. I can "feel" when something isn't right with my closest friends and family even when we have not talked in a while.
I am looking for someone knowledgeable to help me along my way.
Thank you all who read and/or respond to my plea, Marcia T

Most people won't teach, mainly because of age, if you're under 18, then no one will teach you due to the fact your prents can sue that person.

However there are plenty of books you can order or get at your local library. You can also check out these forums.

No parents to worry about here. I'm over 30. Way over 30. What are the necessities for practice? Besides belief. I do believe. I'm on a tight budget, so where can I find the things I might need, ex.. a wand? Cauldron? Exc....

You don't need a wand actually, you can just use your hand, energy is energy, you can also use a pencil. As for a cauldrin, you can also use just a pot. I'm not the best at Wiccan belief, but it does take a lot of studying, I think a year and a day? I could be wrong on that. SpellsofMagic has a great shop! There's also local stores, amazon, etc. If you really want a wand, make it from scratch, it'll be better, just like writing your own spells, they'll be more powerful.

Studying is the most important part of any religion, we do although remind members to use their "intuition", this is because some information isn't true. So, if it feels to good to be true, it probably is. All of us still study, even those who have been practicing this religion/paths/practices for 35+ years, a lot of us believe that we never end our studies, this is because there is always something new to learn. Now, ShadowCasts, I am not too sure about the whole "Year and a Day", I believe Lark commented stating that is wasn't meant to be taken literally, a Year and a Day is technically just a phrase meaning, "sometime in the future". It's just something to help the curious practitioner decide if he/she wants to actually be initiated into Wicca.
