I know a couple of people who I've AP'd with and it's hard for me to form an opinion on this. On one hand, one of my friends created this entire dimension that I've visited and I've helped other people visit where there are spirits and gods and the people who visit there go on these insane adventures. This same friend has also said she can periodically be possessed by past lives, one of which being homicidal.
the other friend claims that when he AP's, various spirits that he made pacts with work with him to do various things. Almost in the same ballpark as my other friend, he meets spirits, gods, and occasionally other people.
So please help me out here. Is this typical for AP or is this nonsense? What is fact and what is fantasy here?
unless of course they are fabricating experiences, which i do not see the point, then of course the experiences are real. they are real to them, so long as they believe it happened, it did. this in the realm of personal experiences, there is not much "fact" to be had in my opinion.
also astral projection is relative term as well, since many people do not distinguish various forms of projection. It means many things to many people, so long as they are benefiting from the practice then all the power to them! i do not see anything delusional about this. =)
One of those friends is depressed and has told me she's thought of ending her life to be in the Astral Realm where she has a boyfriend astral-being. That's what scares me.
When I project it's like I become pure blue energy and as far as others I never interact with other people it's like my escape to my on nervona but that's just me
I've seen a lot of people who have a lot of different opinions about astral projection, so I see no reason why the things you listed couldn't be included in someone's belief system.
The thing that seems concerning to me is that you mentioned a friend seemingly being possessed by a homicides past life and a friend (not sure if this is the same friend) showing suicidal ideation and wanting to go to the astral plane permanently. The first one seems like it could be a mental health issue to me, and any case of depression or suicidal thoughts is concerning. Now, I'm not a psychologist, but based on my own experiences, the experiences with mental illness family and friends have told me about, and general knowledge about psychological issues, this does sound like a problem to me--not because of astral projection, per say. Not trying to be nosey, and you don't have to respond to this if you don't wish to, but is this friend seeking psychological help?
If a person is depressed and is talking about suicide I would recommend that you get them professional help. There are usually are local mental health oraganizations you can find in the phone book that can help. Alsp the suicide prevention hotline# is 800-273-8255
I'm not sure if she's getting help. She's in another country (Chile) and there isn't too much I can do for her other than make sure she stays anchored to the real world.
