Entity containment

I am trying to figure out how to contain an evil entity that follows me and my family. If you have any knowledge on this area can you please respond. I am open to ideas as to how i can contain a spirit or soul. The entity seems malevolent and appears at times as a three dimensional shadow being. Quite a few times the entity appeared and knocked objects away from itself while running to hide itself. It seems to watch us and also I feel like it can force emotions into others. When we heard it laugh and scratch a wall we all went silent. The house i live in had a baby die in it and it is known as a party house
