Many practitioners find themselves drained after spell work. Even when you ground, you still invest some of your personal energy (I, for example, recommend spell casters to use both grounding techniques but also to use personal energy for the spell). That's why it would be recommended to get some rest after spell work, and between two consecutive spells you would like to cast so that your body re-energizes.
