Your Deities and Spirits

Hello everyone! I thought this would be a really fun topic to discuss. I've been watching a lot of videos lately where practitioners talk about how they felt called to work with a particular deity or spirit. So I was interested to see what all you guys had to share. I laid out some questions as a guideline to get you started.

1. Name of your deity/ spirit
2. Why did you feel called to work with this particular deity/ spirit?
3. What do they represent to you?
4. Do you have any special way of honoring them?

Feel free to add anything else if you'd like!

Lilith
As soon as I heard the name it just rolled smoothly across my mind. I have always been a little nervous but I never felt nervous or stressed working with her.
I do a burn offerings and for her I add in grapefruit essential oil.

Venus goddesses . I was at a point in my life that I really needed beauty and peace in my life. I was still really young in my practice. I called on a spirit of beauty to help me. At the time I didn't know goddesses of beauty and love are ruled by my plant Venus. But since she came to help me I work with her.

Lilith and my guardian demon.

In a hard time, they have guided me to move on.

They represent strength, confidence, and pride.

For Lilith i pray, and for my guardian demon I burn candles on the new moon.

The fire spirit and a couple of deities.

They helped me realize my inner flame (strength)

Durga
I first saw her in a book I had been dying to get out of the library, and when I prayed to her in my time of need, she responded swiftly. Ever since, I've dedicated my altar to her.
She represents protection and peace to me.
She is a Hindu goddess, so I've added a lotus flower charm and tiger charm to my altar (it's a mint tin so I don't have much room).

Brigid

She is a bridge between two very difficult halves in my religious life

She represents my devotion, my aim to be a better person, and is a second mother to me

I usually honor her by cleaning the house, lighting candles, and having a broom and string of bells on the back of my door

Asmoul (the spirit of Washington D.C/guardian/ protector of the people)

With my mothers work, my family and i had to visit D.C quite a bit. When i went to walk to the library there, i saw a book about him. I felt a strong connection with the spirit right at that moment.

He represents strength, power, protection, justice, wisdom, and freedom.

Ever full and new moon i will light a silver and dark blue candle, and pray every night. I also write letters, which i keep in a chest in my closet.
