Which spell did you use?

Also, did you give it enough time to work?

Most will agree that writing your own spell is far better than using someone else's. If the spell you are using is written in another language or strange tongue, then it would be safe to say that you are trying to pronounce an incantation that you don't know the meaning of (if you don't know the word you are pronouncing) so you will have very little effort in intent when reciting it.

What I would suggest is being a beginner, you should start with researching and reading up on what it is you are looking to accomplish with your spell. You can use some ideas in someone else's spell if you feel a strong connection to the ingredients or meaning behind it.

Just some suggestions on better developing your own spell while developing your knowledge in the subject area.

Good Luck

If it's a spell in another language like Latin or a mantra in Sanskrit, you must learn the proper pronunciation because changing the prounouncoation can change the meaning of the spell and result in unwanted results.
