Purple Dobbies?

Hey people, it is currently 1:52 and well I was asleep and for no apparent reason I woke up and saw a purple dobbie right in front of me. He was a light purple in a children's muscle shirt with big round yellow orange eyes. He was there until I blinked and then he was gone. Am I crazy?

You see a Demon

It sounds like hypangogia. You just woke up and saw something in front of you. Your brain was still close to the dreaming state, or passing through on its way to being more alert. This is the reason most "ghosts" and "demons" are seen when people get up in the middle of the night to use the toilet: They're not fully awake. And even though there may not be any sign of activity in their house whatsoever, they'll see some sort of thing, and think it's actually there.

Of course, applying belief to the facts, it could also mean a person is more receptive in such a state.

If it was actually a spirit, it seems benign, just observing.

If it was "a Dobby" (a house elf directly from the fictional world of Harry Potter), I'd say someone gifted it the shirt (as it wasn't wearing the simple frock they're known for) and it's a free elf. But that's just fiction.

I'm not saying it was a Dobbie I'm only using Dobbie as a description.
