Old Testament and Magick

I'm making a forum for WolfhavenRed's questions in the Discussion Topics forum:

How do we reconcile or explain the parts of the old testament that clearly speak out against magick and divination?

I believe that reconciliation from this would be based off intent. The intent of a Christian Witch (or at least my interpretation) is to use the Holy Trinity as their source of power. By using scripture, prayer, meditation and other forms of devotion, were able to use spells that capture that power and use it in the name of Christ. Moreover, the Christian witch needs to be very cognizant of how they practice. Using the power of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for ill intent wouldn't be Christian. Hope this helps.
