Making incense

I was looking at some different spices, and the meanings or effects behind them. I'm wondering if any of you have ever made your own incense out of spices, and what did you use and for what type of spell?

I was thinking of a blessing spell, and also a protection spell. I look forward to hearing what you think. :)

I often make my own incenses. A really good book to start out with is "Incense, Oils, and Brews" by Scott Cunningham. Making up your own incense blends for specific purposes is actually rather easy if you have a good Table of Correspondences which tells you what each herb, spice, or resin is thought to effect.
