Vampirism

Vampirism is a topic I've been increasingly interested in and I was wondering if there were others who shared the same curiosity? I haven't been able to delve into the subject yet but I intend to later this year.
Also, if anyone practices in any way, would you mind informing me of what you do? You may even mail me, if you'd prefer.
Blessed be!

Vampirism in what sense? If you mean physically becoming a blood-drinking, undead, immortal, then that is not possible. Drinking blood is terrible for humans as well, incredibly unhealthy.

What are the side effects if someone does drink blood?

The human body isn't meant to consume blood. It can be toxic and lead to serious injury or death. Blood is rich in iron and the body can't properly digest it or remove excess iron, when ingested. It can cause organ and tissue damage, and death in serious cases.

For further information, I would direct you to Lark's thread on the topic, which I have linked below.

I don't know much about vampirism, but I believe there is a community of psi-vampires on Reddit if you'd like to look into that.

There are many dangers of drinking blood, Becca. First of all, there's always a risk of someone having something that can be passed in through blood, such as HIV. Even if someone's blood is clean, it's still dangerous. According to the article "Drinking Blood Can Lead to Some Serious Complications: IfYou're Not a Vampire Bat, Don't Do It" on Medical Daily, the toxicity of blood and the high levels of iron in it can cause haemochromatosis, which can damage your liver and cause heart failure, among other things. Basically, drinking too much blood or drinking it to often can literally kill you. Even small amounts are still bad for you, as it's still toxic, and can cause nausea and vomiting. In addition, since it's a biological substance, there's always a risk of it being introduced to pathogens both inside the body and once it hits air, so drinking blood can introduce germs that may be living in the blood into your body.
